Disclaimer: I received this product from Influenster for the purpose of sampling and reviewing. However, all opinions are my own
Happy Monday everyone (Oxymoron, I know).
If you have caught up on my Instagram, you’ll know that last week I had some exciting news. I received my first VoxBox.
The VoxBox that I received contained a 15mL sample of Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Cream. Here is my review of the product.
VoxBox Review: Clarins Hydro-Essentiel Silky Cream
Firstly, before I begin this review, I would like to thank Influenster and Clarins for allowing me to partake in this VoxBox event. I am always thrilled to try new brands.
Now, I have to admit that while I have heard of Clarins before this event, I had never tried (or purchased) one of their products before. However, after sampling this product, I can now state that I am a Clarins convert.
My VoxBox arrived via Canada Post in a suitably red & white Influenster box.
Inside the box, I found the product as well as a product information card.
As for the actual product, Clarins has chosen to dress the Hydra-Essentiel cream in an attractive seafoam-blue package.
My only nitpick with the package is that it is challenging to locate the English directions as the back contains an abundance of languages.
Opening the Clarins bottle, I was amazed that I wasn’t immediately stricken with an overpowering scent of perfume. Instead, I detected a delicate aroma that reminds me of the coziness of bedtime in a bottle. I find it challenging to find correct words to describe the fragrance; nevertheless, it is fair to say that it is not an unpleasant odor (nor, as I stated before, is it too perfumey).
When it comes to application, I found that this moisturizer absorbed almost immediately; I did not have an issue with a greasy coating that I do with certain other creams.
So, with a price tag of $46 (CAD), would I consider purchasing Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Silky Cream? Absolutely. In fact, after my sample ran out, I rush to Clarins to order a few more of their products to try.
Having tried a luxury brand moisturizer, I now realize that you get what you pay for when it comes to skincare products. Therefore, if you are looking for a new cream to add to your routine and you are willing to spend $50, I believe that you won’t be disappointed with Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Silky Cream.
